Oil and Gas UK Medical

OGUK Medical

Offshore workers need to pass a specialised medical examination to be eligible to work in the offshore oil and gas industry. The medical is called an Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) or formally known as UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA) Medical.

Offshore worksites may be located in remote and potentially hostile environments, which may be isolated from qualified medical assistance. Workplace safety is a top priority. OGUK Medical examinations are designed to ensure employees are fit and ready to work in these environments with employee’s being assessed on both their physical and mental health.

The OGUK Medical is valid for two years and allows an employee to work in the UK sector or the North Sea.

Only an accredited Doctor is authorised to conduct Oil and Gas UK Medicals. At Occuhealth, our accredited Doctor is available to perform medicals at both of our Belmont and Mandurah locations.
