Occupational Hygiene Professional

Occuhealth Pty Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Occupational Hygiene Professional to join our busy consulting firm. We are looking for someone with a minimum 1 year site experience who has just completed or is currently studying a post graduate qualification in occupational hygiene. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of industries including Mining, Oil & Gas, Agricultural and the Construction Industry.

Duties:

• Provide technical advice on occupational health issues
• Atmospheric contaminant and noise monitoring, audits and surveys
• Development and delivery of training packages
• Use and calibration of hygiene equipment
• Lighting, ventilation and asbestos surveys
• Consultation and communication within work groups and management
• Analyse and interpret data used to prepare reports
• Technical report writing

Position Requirements:

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a current manual driver’s licence
• Have worked in the industry for a minimum of 1 year
• Hold a first degree tertiary qualification in OH&S, science or health related field
• Have competency with Microsoft suite including Word and Excel
• Hold a Certificate IV Surface Ventilation Technician (desirable but not essential)
• Be an approved Noise Officer in accordance with MSI Regulation 1995 (desirable but not essential)
• Must be willing to work both locally and in remote locations
